Home Sweet Home

As per Caroline's request, I made a video of the view from my apartment. Had to wait awhile because of all the rain and gray (turns out that June, July, and August are the big rain months here). But, today I caught a glimpse of sun and jumped up to record! (Yes I am wearing the same shirt. I am a creature of habit, so as soon as it came outta the wash I wore it again for jammies.) Sorry I have to keep redirecting you to Youtube; this blog and many other sites don't allow uploading a file bigger than 100 MB (that's like 1 min 30 sec). I will try my best to include a video with every new post.

I am getting a little more ok with using the shower (still kinda hate the wetness everywhere afterward, tho). My dryer had me stumped for some time, however. Finally I figured out an innovative, in-home solution to my dryer problem: toaster oven. I was tired of using the blowdryer; the waste of time was astronomical. Instead, I can simply turn on my toaster oven, put my towel on it, rotate it and turn the dial to add more time on it every 15 minutes. Fluffy towels!!! Oh there IS A GOD!!!
And....no, that's not the end of the desperation. The food I've been eating can be characterized as sadly mundane....mostly ramen noodles, eggs and rice. I haven't received my settlement fund yet and don't know how to get to a bank or ask to exchange my currency even if I could get there. I haven't started working yet and this picture came out as a result of not eating well and having too much time on my hands: (Please donate?) :-(
